Flexible Goal Programming for Supporting Lake Karla’s (Greece) Sustainable Operation

Sustainable management is a prerequisite for lake to provide range of ecosystem services. The prioritization needs difficult task, especially when the are in conflict and threaten water security. Lake Karla, situated Thessaly plain, Greece, was decimated 1957–1962; due environmental impacts, it later refilled as multipurpose reservoir with high ecological significance. research objective achieve compromise respect both economic benefits derived from agricultural use protection based on minimum intersection. For this purpose, first, new managerial practices introduced. Second, ideas quantified hydrological budget, these used input flexible (fuzzy) programming. Under hypotheses about acceptable range, (flexible) fuzzy programming identical MINMAX goal model, although weights not directly first case.
